I’m so excited to chat about minimizing some tabs with you!
If you are also a teacher, I'm almost certain you are just like me, and your brain is pretty similar to your computer... you have a million tabs open, and it is taking forever to load.
There are way too many times I walk into a room or around my classroom and forget what I was just planning on doing because I have SO much going on in my head... from lesson planning to communicating with families, managing classroom behavior, and more. While I'm a little late on setting New Year's resolutions, here is what I'm working on to "minimize my tabs" and clear the fog up in my head:
How many times do you have to go back into your computer to find a master copy of a paper you know you already copied, but you can't find where you put it? Or maybe you remember doing a Valentine's Day craft last year, but now you can't remember what that was or where you originally got it from.
Monthly organization has been such a game-changer for me!
Instead of throwing items anywhere in my room and "cleaning it out later," I have started to store items monthly. February is approaching and I need to lesson plan? No problem, I will look in my February binder and February bin for what activities I did in February last year!
Self-care Sundays
Teachers wear SO many hats and are constantly pouring from a glass that is just about empty. I have started to set aside time for myself every Sunday so that I can fill my cup back up before Monday morning rolls around and I need to start pouring from it again. Here are some things that I look forward to on my Sunday nights which also help to keep away the Sunday scaries:
→ A towel warmer (I never want my shower to end, so having a warm towel after really helps)
→ Cozy jammies... I have the Bamboo Jogger set from Cozy Earth and I'm truly obsessed. The quality is unmatched. Link to the shop here... and use my code: CE-CRAFTAYCORNER
The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.

Batch Lesson Planning
I'm a paper-pencil person, 100%. However, I could never find the perfect planner, I did not love to buy a new one each year, and I really do have a lot on my Google Drive that I need for lesson planning. I started to plan digitally and then print my plans out which is the BEST of both worlds (the paper-pencil gal in me is still happy then!).
My digital lesson planner is the only way that I can stay on top of lesson planning and plan ahead of time!
I was never great at planning ahead; but now, I'm able to quickly copy and paste ideas, and batch lesson plan, and therefore... have less "tabs" open in my brain.
Still reading?
I’m glad you’re here. I appreciate you. And honestly, I'm super excited about this email list. I 'm usually constricted to 60-second reels or fast-paced TikToks where I have to talk so fast. If you are still reading... please send me a message over on Instagram and let me know! Have a wonderful day and I will chat with you next week!
